The printer also requires a yellow drum, this is the part the toner fits into in the printer. The drum prints all the toner into shape so it's really important you also replace this when the printer tells you too.
It's easy to install the new toner, simply open the cover of the printer to reveal the toners and drums to begin. move the small green clip at the side of the toner you are removing, this will release it from the drum and then let you pull the toner out. Put the new toner in its place and move the clip back to lock it in.
You can use the original 45862814 yellow toners along with any other original, refilled, or compatible MC873 toner cartridges or drums, no problem at all.
